The last thing we want to see is for a patient to become a dental amputee. The loss of all of the teeth is unfortunate in this day and age, yet in some circumstances, it is the only option. Fortunately, we do have the ability to replace all of the teeth if necessary. At times, there may not be enough of the bone and gums left to support long term denture success, and in these cases we often recommend that dental implants be utilized to aid in retention of the dentures. The utilization of implants to retain a denture is again coordinated between Dr. Mengedoth and one of his chosen surgical specialists.
